Kedah Win FA Cup 2019

Kedah claim the Malaysia FA Cup trophy following a dramatic final against Perak following a 1-0 victory during extra time at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur today.

The final match Bos Gaurus (Perak) and Kedah (Lang Merah) during the 30th edition of the knock-out tournament saw a goalless draw throughout the 90 minutes with Perak down to 10 men after Amirul Aznan was shown the red card before extra time.

The 83,500-strong fans were sent into frenzy when Fadzrul Danel scored the first goal during at the 105th minute.

Both teams took on each other for the first time during the tournament, 12 years after their last cup final in 2007 that saw Kedah taking home the trophy with a 3-0 victory.
